Journal of Scientific andJSTA / JOURNAL PROFILE
Connecting rigorous inquiry with meaningful scientific and technological progress.
OUR PURPOSE
The Journal of Scientific and Technological Advances (JSTA) is an international, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary scholarly journal committed to supporting the publication and dissemination of original research and critical scholarship.
The journal provides an academic forum for research in natural and applied sciences, engineering and technology, health sciences, social sciences, and educational sciences. It welcomes both discipline-specific investigations and interdisciplinary contributions that demonstrate clear scholarly relevance.
JSTA aims to advance scientific knowledge, encourage methodological rigor, support responsible technological innovation, and facilitate the exchange of research findings across academic disciplines. Submissions are expected to address clearly defined research questions, apply appropriate methods, report findings transparently, and contribute meaningfully to the relevant scholarly literature.
Multidisciplinary coverage does not imply unrestricted subject acceptance. Each manuscript is assessed for its alignment with the journal's stated scope, originality, scientific merit, methodological quality, research integrity, and potential scholarly contribution.
SUBJECT COVERAGE
Five complementary research areas, supported by subject-appropriate editorial assessment and independent scholarly peer review.
Research in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, materials science, and related experimental, theoretical, and computational disciplines.
Research in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, information systems, electrical and electronic engineering, automation, manufacturing, engineering design, and related technological applications.
Methodologically rigorous research in nursing, rehabilitation, public health, biomedical sciences, health technologies, and clinical or nonclinical health-related fields, subject to applicable ethical approval and reporting requirements.
Evidence-based research in management, economics, communication, sociology, public policy, organizational studies, and the social implications of scientific and technological development.
Research in teaching and learning, educational technology, curriculum studies, educational measurement and evaluation, higher education, educational policy, and learning environments.
EDITORIAL SUITABILITY
Manuscripts should address a clearly defined scholarly problem and explain their contribution in relation to relevant existing research.
A clear research question and a meaningful contribution to knowledge, methodology, theory, or scholarly understanding.
An appropriate research design, reliable analysis, transparent interpretation, and adequate reporting of limitations.
Compliance with applicable ethical requirements, accurate citation and attribution, transparent disclosures, and appropriate data availability or access statements.
A clearly demonstrated connection to at least one of the journal's established disciplinary areas.
Sufficient methodological and reporting detail to permit critical evaluation of the research and its conclusions.
PUBLICATION FORMATS
JSTA considers the following scholarly contributions, subject to the requirements established in the Guide for Authors.
Full-length empirical, experimental, theoretical, or computational investigations presenting original findings and a clearly substantiated scholarly contribution.
Critical, methodologically transparent syntheses of published research that identify established knowledge, research gaps, and directions for future investigation.
Concise reports presenting significant and adequately supported findings that justify focused scholarly communication.
OUT OF SCOPE
Manuscripts may be declined during initial editorial screening if they fall outside the journal's stated disciplinary coverage, do not establish a clear original contribution, lack sufficient methodological detail, or fail to meet applicable research ethics and reporting requirements.
Promotional material, unsupported opinion, submissions lacking a substantive scholarly foundation, and manuscripts that do not present original research or critically synthesize scholarly evidence are generally not suitable for publication as research contributions.
Interdisciplinary relevance alone does not guarantee editorial suitability or acceptance. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, scope alignment, methodological quality, and compliance with the journal's published editorial policies.
JSTA publishes in English, follows a Diamond Open Access model, and does not charge submission or article processing fees (APCs). Research manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and, where appropriate, independent double-anonymous peer review.
Please review the author guidelines and publication ethics policies before preparing your manuscript.
