About the Journal

Journal of Scientific and Technological Advances (JSTA) is an international, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge, technological innovation, and interdisciplinary research.

The journal provides a scholarly platform for the publication and dissemination of original research, methodological developments, and significant theoretical and practical contributions. JSTA aims to promote scientific excellence, academic integrity, international collaboration, and the responsible exchange of knowledge across disciplines.

Aims and Scope

JSTA welcomes scholarly contributions in five principal research areas: natural and applied sciences, engineering and technology, health sciences, social sciences, and educational sciences.

The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary research that addresses contemporary scientific, technological, environmental, societal, and educational challenges through rigorous methodologies and evidence-based approaches.

Submissions are assessed according to their scientific relevance, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and contribution to the existing body of knowledge.

Article Types and Peer Review

JSTA considers original research articles, review articles, and short communications.

Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal. Research submissions proceeding to external evaluation are normally reviewed by at least two independent subject specialists through a double-anonymous peer-review process.

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, research integrity, and the recommendations of qualified reviewers. The journal does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or a predetermined review period.

Open Access and Publication Fees

JSTA adopts a Diamond Open Access publishing model. Published articles are made freely available online without subscription barriers.

The journal does not charge authors submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), or publication fees.

Editorial evaluation and publication decisions are independent of financial considerations.

Copyright and Licensing

JSTA intends to publish scholarly articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, subject to final adoption of the journal's copyright and licensing policy.

Under the proposed model, authors retain copyright in their original work while granting the journal the right of first publication. Readers may share and adapt published material in accordance with the terms of the applicable licence, provided appropriate attribution is given.

The definitive copyright agreement and licensing terms will be published before the first article is released.

Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

JSTA is committed to internationally recognized principles of responsible scholarly publishing, with reference to the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The journal requires originality, responsible authorship, appropriate acknowledgement of contributions, transparent disclosure of competing interests and funding, and compliance with applicable research ethics requirements.

Research involving human participants or animals must satisfy relevant ethical approval, informed consent, and reporting requirements.

Allegations of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, redundant publication, inappropriate authorship, or other research misconduct will be assessed through documented and impartial procedures.

Where warranted, the journal will publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Editorial Independence and Conflicts of Interest

JSTA is led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin GÖKAL, Founding Editor-in-Chief.

Editorial decisions are made according to scientific and ethical criteria. Editors and reviewers must disclose relevant competing interests and withdraw from evaluations in which their impartiality could reasonably be questioned.

Submissions authored by the Editor-in-Chief, editorial board members, or their close collaborators must be managed by an independent, non-conflicted editor with full decision-making responsibility.

The journal is committed to transparent editorial governance, fairness in peer review, and accountability in scholarly decision-making.
